Mouse's Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

1 c. plus 2 tbsp Flour

½ tsp. Baking Soda

A pinch of Salt

½ c. softened Butter

1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

½ c. Sugar

¼ c. packed Light Brown Sugar

1 Egg

1 c. Red and Green Candy-Coated Chocolates

1. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.  Set aside.
2. In a bowl, mash together the butter, vanilla, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy. 
3. Mix in the egg.
4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet and mix until just blended. 
5. Stir in the chocolates, adding 1 tsp. of water if necessary to help mix.
6. Drop batter by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheets. 
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

makes 18 cookies

Book Cooks will combine some old favorites with recipes/books different from last year.  Let's get cooking!
